Due to manufacturer issues, Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Aulani resorts have started the process of removing the complimentary mini refrigerators from rooms. At Walt Disney World, DVC rooms, the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, family suites at Disney’s Art of Animation and All-Star Music resorts are not effected. At Disneyland resort, the suites are not effected either. As a room becomes empty the refrigerator will be removed.
Disney has said they will replace all of the refrigerators, but this will take months to complete. This is most likely due to supply and demand. I’m sure in the interest of guests, Disney will do their best to resolve this as soon as they are able to. Disney has said they will have a limited number of refrigerators available which can be reserved in advance, but cannot be guaranteed.
