The holiday season is closer than you think, and Disney made sure we knew it! Today, June 23rd, Disney kicked off their “Halfway to the Holidays” celebration by dropping a series of festive stocking reveals throughout the day, with each one hiding a clue about what is coming this holiday season at Walt Disney World. All four stockings are now on the mantle, and the speculation is already in full swing! Disney has promised that more information tied to each of these hints will be coming tomorrow, June 24th, so stay tuned because things are about to get very merry.
It all started with the first stocking, labeled “Kermie” and featuring none other than Ollie, the beloved character closely tied to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Jollywood Nights after-hours holiday event. The clue read: “Where once there was a space, now a stocking appears, with a jingle of bells softly ringing in ears.” This one feels like a pretty clear signal that Jollywood Nights is returning for 2026, and possibly with some exciting new additions. Kermit is already a big part of the Muppets-themed Disney Holidays in Hollywood celebration at the Beauty and the Beast theater, so his stocking name makes total sense, and Ollie’s appearance inside it strongly ties back to that Jollywood connection fans have come to love.
The second stocking brought the most recognizable name in Disney history, Mickey. The clue for this one said, “The second now joins, the mystery grows, with three little shapes that everyone knows.” Those three little shapes? We are guessing Mickey’s iconic ears, which points pretty strongly toward Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Dates and details for the 2026 party have not been announced yet, so this hint may be building toward that reveal tomorrow.
The third stocking featured Figment, EPCOT‘s beloved purple dragon, with a clue reading, “The third now appears, the pattern expands, with a festival of wonder from faraway lands.” That one practically announces itself: EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays is almost certainly what is being teased here, and honestly it cannot come soon enough. Festival of the Holidays is one of the most magical times to visit EPCOT, and fans are already buzzing about what the 2026 edition will bring.
Finally, the fourth and final stocking dropped with Minnie’s name on it, and the clue read: “Now four stockings shine where the clues once were few, with holiday treasures made just for you.” The phrase “holiday treasures made just for you” feels like a nod toward 2026 holiday merchandise, which means Disney fans should get ready for some seriously festive shopping this season.
