Disney fans are getting a brand new holiday special this year! Disney has officially announced “Mickey’s Home Alone,” a full length Christmas special arriving during the 2026 holiday season on Disney Jr. and Disney+. How exciting!
In the new special, Mickey is looking forward to a cozy Christmas at home, but Minnie surprises everyone with tickets to celebrate at a famous Ice Palace instead. During the hectic rush to leave, Mickey and Pluto accidentally get left behind and end up home alone for the holidays.
While Minnie and the gang race to get back home, Mickey and Pluto must defend the house and their Christmas dinner from two mischievous troublemakers, a raccoon and a weasel determined to crash the holiday celebration.
The special will also feature original songs including “Ho-Ho-Home for Christmas” and “Favorite Christmas Feeling” by songwriter Keith Harrison Dworkin, along with a new version of the holiday classic “Jingle Bells.” The score is by Tony Morales.
“Mickey’s Home Alone” is produced by Wild Canary in association with Disney Jr. Tom Rogers serves as executive producer, Rachel Ruderman as co-executive producer, and Shane Prigmore directs the special.
