Disney+ Gives “Elemental” a Premiere Date

September 7, 2023 , ,

Disney+ subscribers can now count down the days for the premiere of Pixar’s “Elemental” movie on the magical service, which is set for next week!

“Elemental” will officially be coming to the enchanted streaming service beginning September 13, only 89 days after its theatrical release. The film will be released along side the streaming premiere of the documentary “Good Chemistry: The Story of Elemental,” as well as Pixar Animation Studio short “Carl’s Date.”

At the box office, “Elemental” had somewhat of a failure to launch as it was deemed to be the worst opening weekend in Pixar’s history. In 11 weeks, the movie grossed $153.6 million domestically and a global gross of $480 million, per Box Office Mojo.

“Good Chemistry: The Story of Elemental,” tells the story of the movie’s director Sohn, who traces his parents’ voyage from Korea to New York. The movie explores his dad’s former grocery shop in the heart of the Bronx, and looks into his choice of career in animation instead of following in the footsteps of the family business.

Below is the official synopsis of the animated adventure film:

“In a city where fire, water, land, and air residents live together, a fiery young woman and a go-with-the-flow guy are about to discover something elemental: How much they actually have in common.”

If you haven’t already subscribed to Disney+, the streaming service will be launching a limited-time promotion offering the add-supported version for just $2 per month for the first three months in the United States.
