If you haven’t already heard, the Disney+ series “Loki” will be returning for a second season on the streaming platform! Not only will we get to see more of the story of the master of mischief but we’ll also get to see Tom Hiddleston play a version of the character that will finally change its ways and move forward on a positive path–something most fans are not used to with Loki.

In a recent interview with Variety, Hiddleston discussed his character Loki, which will feature a prominent redemption arc in the second season of the series, which is spearheaded by the last episode of the first season.

“I understand the audience sees good in Loki — they want him to get past his internal and external obstacles,” Hiddleston began. “They want him to repair that relationship with his brother and step into the hero that he can be.”

“He realizes, ‘Actually, I can choose my path and choose to do the right thing. Or I choose, at least, not to repeat the same old tricks that I repeated over and over in a cycle of trust and betrayal.’ It’s exciting to retain all the characteristics that makes Loki, Loki, and at the same time to play slightly different music within him,” the actor added.

At this time, it is not known exactly when the second season of “Loki” will appear on Disney+, nor if production has began on the series. Of course, it’s safe to assume the second season of the hit show we’ll see the return of the villain-turned-hero Loki and Sylvie again, as well as Owen Wilson’s Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer, and Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15. Majors certainly could reprise his role as He Who Remains/Kang the Conqueror, but given his confirmed appearance in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” we’re not exactly sure.
