Reality TV star Spectacular Blue Smith reportedly punched a Walt Disney World cast member after refusing to leave an attraction’s queue.
For those not familiar, Smith is most famous for his role on the hit VH1 reality TV show “Love & Hip Hop.” Now, he’s facing charges for a crime committed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
According to a WESH 2 news report, authorities say Spectacular Blue Smith was walking toward a ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom when he made a sneezing gesture and said “coronavirus.” A statement, which a cast member told Smith was not funny.
Smith allegedly replied to the cast member, “I thought it was.” The cast member then asked Smith to leave the line twice, but Smith refused.
When the cast member tried to stop Smith from continuing in the line, the arrest report says Spectacular Blue Smith punched him twice. After the incident, the cast member was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Following the incident, Smith was arrested and now faces a battery charge. Smith has since posted bond.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a cast member being attacked by a park guest this year. On October 25, a guest to Disney’s Animal Kingdom reportedly assaulted a security guard for no apparent reason. In a report from Police describing the crime, the attack was said to have occurred due to the guest experiencing “excited delirium.”
According to Orlando Sentinel, authorities arrested 19-year-old James Arvid and charged him with battery on a security guard. Per a recently released sheriff’s report, it’s been alleged that the young man tackled a security guard from behind by the DinoLand USA area of the park.
According to a sheriff’s report, Arvid was described as being “in a state of excited delirium and unexpected strength.” An emergency room doctor was said to have reported that Arvid had showed signs of alcohol and drug use, along with heatstroke.
