Subway Teams Up With Disney’s Live Action Moana for a New Meal Deal and $15 Off Movie Tickets. Get ready to set sail for some serious summer savings! Subway is partnering with Disney for the upcoming live action Moana movie, and starting June 11, guests can upgrade any six inch, footlong, wrap, or salad meal into a Moana Movie Meal Deal for just $1 more. The upgrade comes with a collectible Moana cup and access to a $15 Fandango promo code toward a ticket to see the film when it hits theaters on July 10.
There are five different cup designs to collect, each featuring a fan favorite character from the film: Moana, Maui, Mini Maui, Pua, and Heihei. Once you’ve grabbed your cup, just scan the QR code on the design and upload a photo of your receipt to claim the movie ticket discount. Buy two or more Meal Deals in a single transaction and you can score a $30 Fandango code good for two tickets instead.
Subway’s Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Klein said the goal was to build something that goes beyond the theater experience, pointing to the collectible cups and digital storytelling tied into the promotion. Disney’s EVP of Partnerships, Promotions, Synergy and Events Lylle Breier echoed that sentiment, calling it an invitation for fans everywhere to answer the call of adventure together. The campaign will also roll out themed window wraps, digital menu displays, and a music driven online experience inspired by the film, plus a tie in with Simply Cheetos Puffs White Cheddar now available at Subway locations nationwide.
