Disney Destination ~ Spice Road Table

Recently, my wife and I enjoyed lunch at the Spice Road Table as part of our Candlelight Processional dining package. This was a new restaurant that we wanted to experience and we were not disappointed. Located right outside of the Morroco pavilion it sits alongside the World Showcase lagoon. The restaurant is based on the legendary spice routes that were conducted between Asia, northeast Africa, and Europe.  They offer a variety of seasoned small plates from the Mediterranean as well as wine, beer, and cocktails.

As part of our package, we each got an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. for the appetizer, I chose the grape leaves and she chose the hummus & olive tray. The grape leaves were excellently seasoned and tightly rolled. The hummus tray included two types of hummus and a good selection of olives. We were even offered extra pita bread by our waiter.

For our entrée’s we both chose the mix grill skewers. This plate had a skewer of seasoned chicken and a skewer of marinated beef alongside rosemary potatoes and french green beans. Both of the meats were cooked perfectly and tastefully seasoned. I am not a fan of vegetables but the green beans complimented the potatoes and were delicious. We did enjoy a glass of sangria with our dinners. Feeling full and satisfied we each got a small plate of baklava as our desserts.

Spice Road Table has both inside seating as well as a nice outside area overlooking the lagoon. We were told that the outside seating area does require reservations and is an excellent viewing spot for evening fireworks. The restaurant does have a full bar right inside the entrance if you would just like to experience the atmosphere and enjoy a drink.

As mentioned, this was our first visit to Spice Road Table but based on the service, the price and the selections we will be going back. If you desire a unique Mediterranean experience please go and check it out.
