Disney Extras Worth the Splurge

Disney Extras Worth the Splurge 1

Hello Main Streeters! Welcome back and Happy Thursday. It’s no secret that Disney is the happiest place on Earth, and there is magic to be experienced by all from the moment you walk into a park until the last look back at it all before exiting. With all that magic, a Disney trip can be costly overall, but let’s say you used the money saving tips we shared last week and now you have a little extra room in the budget. Think of all the other magical Disney extras you could you add on to your trip! The possibilities are bountiful, so naturally, the biggest concern for guests is figuring out what experiences are worth the splurge. Now you’re in luck because tonight I’m going to share with you my top picks worth the splurge for kids, adults, families, and couples.

Splurge for Kids:

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique:
This experience is sure to bring a smile to anyone. At the Boutique, you can watch make-believe dreams come true as kids are transformed into elegant princesses and shining knights! The packages range from $19.95 for the Knight package all the way to $450 for the absolute top to bottom dream makeover fit for a princess.  With two locations, one inside the Magic Kingdom and the other at Disney Springs, you can choose just how much extra you splurge on. For example, if you choose the experience inside the park, you’ll have to factor in the cost of an admission ticket, whereas going to Disney Springs has no admission cost. You can also save a little by bringing your own accessories, but make sure to clear this with a cast member when you make a reservation.

Disney Extras Worth the Splurge 2

The Pirates League:
Exclusively at the Magic Kingdom, this adventure allows children to transform into swashbuckling pirates or lovely mermaids. Packages start at $18.95 up to the most expensive option priced at $84.95. While at the Pirate’s League your little one will get to hang out with Jack Sparrow’s finest Pirate Masters, and they will teach them all they need to know about living and singing “A Pirate’s Life”. This splurge experience is worth it just for the fun adventuring you get to do afterward around the Magic Kingdom!

Splurge for Adults:

Senses Spa:
Nothing is more luxurious than being able to relax while at Disney. Adults can take a time out from the hustle and bustle of the parks to immerse themselves in exactly what the name of the spa promises – your senses. The spa is full service, and you can be pampered with beauty services like a manicure and pedicure, or take a real break from it all and book a package that includes a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, and toss in lunch too. One of the best experiences I have had while on Disney property, if not THE best experience was an hour and a half massage at Senses on Grand Floridian property the morning after our wedding. I highly recommend booking at either the Grand Floridian location or at Saratoga Springs.

Splurge for Families:

Private V.I.P Tour:
This really is a splurge, however, I have honestly heard nothing but great things about this experience. Imagine a day at Disney where every ride has a FastPass, and you get to learn all about the parks from an insider who has the ability to make all kinds of Disney magic happen. Sounds amazing, am I right? This opportunity is priced between $425 and $625 per hour and depending on the season. It also requires a valid admission for each park you choose to visit as it is not included in the price of this tour. You can take a group of up to 10 people per guide, so truly this would be the ultimate family splurge.

Splurge for Couples:

Celebration at the Top – Savor, Sip, and Sparkle:
Let the Fireworks Fly Lovers, because this experience is literally the most explosively romantic option for couples to splurge on. I’m talking about the perfect combination of Fireworks and Food right from the top of the Contemporary at California Grill. Picture it now, prime seating for the perfect view of the fireworks above the castle. You can relax, unwind and savor light bites and refreshments for one hour prior to the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and as the show gets closer, you get a private viewing area. The romance is REAL, but you are going to want to book this experience sooner than later. Pricing right now is $99 plus gratuity and tax per person for bookings on or before March 29, 2019, pricing changes to $110 plus gratuity and tax per person for bookings on or after March 30, 2019.

Erika Roberts has been a Disney kid for as long as she can remember, but her love of visiting Disney Parks started after just one ride in a Doom Buggy. She couldn’t run to guest relations fast enough to offer up her soul in return for an Annual Pass. Since then Disney has taken all of her money, but has given her the most cherished memories; from watching her Nona’s face light up with happy tears as we strolled down Main Street on her first visit (she was 84 at the time), to her very own engagement on Halloween in front of the Haunted Mansion.

Erika is excited to be on the TMSM team and where Disney Parks are concerned, you won’t catch her dead on It’s a Small World. If she asks to ride that, this is a clear indication that she is in danger and you must send help. You will, however, catch her performing Random Acts of Disney (R.A.D’s), park hopping with her amazing group of impressively talented and kind friends (usually in some themed attire), hanging out by The Haunted Mansion, and ugly crying during fireworks… then begging for a Mickey Premium Bar to eat her feelings…this is a judgment-free bio.

Otherwise, Erika works for the State of Florida and is actively involved in her community. Erika believes in empowering others and spreading kindness to people from all walks of life. Erika also makes custom designed Disney inspired ears, etched glass, gifts, and accessories. You can check out, like or follow her work on FB, which also links to my shop’s Instagram: www.facebook.com/imagineering.emporium. She looks forward to getting to know everyone and sharing the magic of Disney!
