TMSM’s Fashion Friday ~ Disney Cosmetics & Nail Fun at Walgreens!

I have admittedly reported my guilty pleasure of being an absolute cosmetics junkie. Makeup is one size fits all. Nothing gives me a rush like a trip to Sephora, Nordstrom, drug stores… I strangely find comfort in a fresh tube of lipstick or swatching an eyeshadow pallete. I watch makeup tutorials into the wee hours of the morning, endlessly search and shop and spend ridiculous amounts of time perfecting “blending,” “contouring,” “strobing”…trying to keep up with the latest trends. The beauty industry is a massive part of my life. It’s what I went to school for and how I make money to support my Disney habit!

Sometimes my research has to go a step further than visiting my favorite stores, and I resort to some online searching. I clear my head and think outside of the box. For instance, my dear friends, I am unveiling a big one… Drumroll please… Walgreens. It’s not just a place where I pick up my prescriptions and occasional pack of gum. I typically don’t buy cosmetics at Walgreens, as I can find them at other drug stores for less money. Usually nothing catches my eyes and I hustle passed the walls of makeup. Walgreens.com proved me wrong!

I came across a Disney Dare to Dream collection that is not sold in stores. It features a Pocahontas Beauty Book that includes 9 eye shadows, 2 blushes, a lipgloss and a pencil eyeliner. There is also a Mulan beauty book with different tones. A Pocahontas luminizer that comes in 3 shades caught my eye for $3.00!! Mulan has an eyeliner set and lipgloss in four shades. Online also offers and Ariel quad in 2 different color schemes.

The Allegro brand sells a 3 piece Mulan eyeshadow brush set, Belle kabuki brush, Tiana 3 piece eyebrow brush set, 2 piece Jasmine brush set and a Cinderella 2 piece face brush and touch up set. These vary in price from $9.99-$14.99. Apparently these are offered in store as well. My Walgreens must be picked over because I’ve never been able to see them in person.

E.l.f. creates a Disney Good VS Evil Collection that is only available online. It features a few eyelash kits, brush set, several nail art kits, an eyeliner gifts set, evil lip gloss kit and a nail polish collection set. All of the colors appear very rich and pigmented. E.l.f. Also listed an Elsa and Belle lipgloss, available in 3 colors, Elsa shadow and liner, Jasmine face collection, Elsa face palette, Jasmine lip kit, Jasmine eyeliner collection, Jasmine eye kit and a Jasmine 5 piece nail polish set. The multi piece sets vary in price but are under $10. Can’t beat that! These are a perfect gift for yourself or another makeup lover in your life!

Wet N Wild brand creatures a villains cast a spell beauty book for $9.99. Ursula is the only villain available, as the others have sold out. The colors are very deep and true to the sea witch’s underwater coloring.

I am so overwhelmed on what to purchase. I heard I’m late to the game, and Walgreens has been selling Disney cosmetics for a while. Now I know to keep checking! °o° I’m impressed with the colors, reviews and price. Be sure to check your local Walgreens and take a peek online! Don’t forget to tell us which one is your favorite!
