Sometimes we only see people are different from us. But if you look hard enough you can see how much we’re all alike.  — Princess Jasmine

This week, to be perfectly honest, I’ve struggled greatly with finding subject matter to put toward “Fashion Friday.” I keep my political views to myself and respect my friends’ decisions on Facebook who choose to do otherwise. I can’t help but notice sides of people that aren’t very becoming when others don’t agree with their views and standpoints. Beside the political dramas in our country, the world is suffering from recent activity. Our friends and family in countries far and wide have mourned together with us. Turning on the television anymore breaks my heart, as I truly wish for peace and to simply be kind to each other. Love one another. Embrace difference.

Remember, you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine. — Snow White

Sometimes I worry about the world around me. Other times I am frightened. Mostly I am grateful. I am blessed to live in a place and time where there is opportunity. I can work and buy fun thingamabobs to my heart’s content. I love collecting my Disney whozits. Accessorizing the ultimate Disney ensemble is what I live for!

If you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you’ll learn things you never knew you never knew. –Pocahontas

However, I often need to be reminded that the most precious of all accessories that I’ll ever wear inside and outside of the Disney Parks is the SMILE on my face when I’m kind to others. I can buy any shiny object, but there’s no more of a priceless treasure than the way you can make someone feel.

Venture outside of your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it. — Rapunzel

So instead of running out and snatching the latest merchandise, this week my fashion advice is this: I recommend donning your best accessory and smile. Step out of your comfort zone. Help someone. Smile at someone. Each simple smile can make all the difference in the world to someone. A small gesture. I guarantee you won’t regret it. Showing compassion and kindness to others can make you more beautiful/ handsome than anything you could ever buy in a store. It’s free! All it takes is a little faith and trust…

A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart. — Hercules

  1. Many very good messages in this post. A smile is certainly the best thing to wear. Some days you just need to smile past the pain, you just may make someone’s day a whole lot better. Thanks Michelle for always making me smile.
