Sofia the First Cupcakes

Sofia the First is so popular with little girls, and these cute cupcakes are sure to please the Sofia fan in your house! Here’s how you make Sofia the First Cupcakes, courtesy of Disney Family!

What You’ll Need

Batch of baked cupcakes

White rolled fondant

Rolling pin

Wax paper

Small oval fondant cutter (¾ inch)

Kitchen knife

Lilac-colored frosting or icing

White sugar pearls

How To Make It

Roll out a good-size chunk of the fondant between sheets of wax paper so that it is 1/8 to ¼ inch thick. Use the oval cutter to cut out four flower petals for each cupcake. Gently pinch one end of each petal to create a point.

Use a kitchen knife to cut tiny triangles from the fondant (four per cupcake) sized to fit between the outer rounded ends of the flower petals.

Working with one cupcake at a time, frost the top with the lilac frosting or icing, then arrange four flower petals in the middle so that the pointed ends come close together to form the blossom center. Next, carefully set the four triangle pieces in place. For the finishing touch, decorate the frosting perimeter with white sugar pearls.
