As someone who remembers the 90’s well, along with the fashion that accompanied it, I thought this article was really cute from the Disney Style Blog.

The best thing about the ’90s being back is that some of the (subjectively) best shoe trends in the history of time are available for purchase without the hassle of a thrift store hunt through a vintage hay stack.Everything from jellies to combat books to old school Adidas are back on the shelves, and it’s making us realize really important fashion things like how much we missed chunky platforms and neon sneakers. Here are some of the Disney Style staff’s top picks:

90s-Shoes

1. River Island Black Cleated-Soul Sandals

The best thing about ’90s fancy footwear was that they were chunky platforms that were easy to walk in and didn’t hurt our feet. Plus, they made all of us at least three inches taller. These sandals from River Island are oddly chic and look good with everything.

2. Converse All Star Two Fold High Tops

We’re not going to say that Chuck Taylors were the tennis shoe of the ’90s, because they’re kind of the tennis shoe of every decade. These two fold high tops in pastels remind us of Saved by the Bell and those tall scrunchie socks we had in every color.

3. Seaside Jelly Flat, American Apparel

Jellies were, nay, ARE the best! They’re bright, they go with everything, and they make your feet feel special. These would look extra cute with jean shorts, a simple tank dress, or pleated skirt.

4. Dr. Martens Combat Boots

No sunflower dress or acid washed jacket is complete without a pair of Dr. Martens combat boots. We’re so glad this clunky trend is back in action, and that these purple boots exist. Make sure to bring extra band-aids for your heels.

5. Adidas Originals Superstar

These striped Adidas sneakers were total late-’90s classics. Paired with your matching Adidas track suit, having a pair of these made you the coolest kid in school. Now werre seeing all of the models and fashion bloggers we follow on Instagram and Tumblr pair these with black dresses, shorts, and tan trenches. Who knew sneakers could be so chic?
