If you grew up devouring the Warrior Cats book series, get ready, because those wild cat clans are finally coming to Disney+ and Disney Channel in a brand-new animated series.
Disney Kids & Family and Coolabi Group have struck a deal to bring the beloved, long-running children’s fantasy saga to life on screen for the first time in an authorized animated adaptation. The series is currently in production and is slated to premiere in 2028.
A Dream Team Behind the Scenes
The creative lineup for this one is seriously impressive. Showrunner A.C. Bradley known for her work on Ms. Marvel, What If?, and Tales of Arcadia: Trollhunters — is leading the charge. Directing is Emmy Award-winner Rodrigo Blaas, whose credits include Star Wars: Sith, Trollhunters, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and WALL-E. Animation is being handled by Original Force, with collaboration from El Guiri Studios, on behalf of Tencent Video.
The series will follow the core story of the first book arc, Warrior Cats: The Prophecies Begin — so fans of the original saga have a lot to look forward to.

For the uninitiated: Warrior Cats, created by Working Partners (a Coolabi Group company) and penned under the name Erin Hunter, follows clans of wild cats navigating an epic world of adventure, loyalty, and conflict.
