Song of the Rainforest ~ Rafiki’s Planet Watch, AK

When at Animal Kingdom, have you ever taken the train ride back to Rafiki’s Planet Watch? If you have, have you taken a minute to stop in and see the Song of the Rainforest attraction? Until yesterday, I hadn’t! Located in the large air conditioned building back at Rafiki’s, you can find yourself a private room to listen to the sounds of the rain forest! It’s interesting, because the rooms you go into remind me of a sauna at a hotel. They’re narrow with benches, and have headphones hanging on the wall. No steam or towels though…. that’s a joke. Anyhow, back to the rooms…..

Once you put the headphones on, there’s a button you hit and the lights get dim. While you’re sitting in the dark, you start to hear the sounds of the rain forest. The sounds are so vivid, you really do feel like you’re right in the middle of a rain forest somewhere. It’s something I’ve never done before, but I was glad I gave it a try. If you’re looking for a quiet place to rest and cool off, plus have a unique experience, stop by the Song of the Rainforest exhibit the next time you’re at Animal Kingdom. I’m looking forward to taking my boys back to Animal Kingdom to give it a try, I think they’ll love it!
