How much planning do you want to do for your next trip to Disneyworld?

My family has a precise method of attack for maximizing every one of our dollars on our yearly trip to Disney World. Some may say we are too structured, but for us, it works and we love to see our yearly dream unfold.

Our first task is to decide which season to visit. We have visited in Summer and early Spring, this coming year we are planning on Fall (Oct 2014) so we can attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Planning at this stage will be research only. We can’t book anything with Disney.com until 6 months out from our arrival date, plus it’s good to wait to see what new deals may come out.

With the season picked, we must now decide if we want to have a meal with a character. If so, who? That will determine which restaurants we choose as part of our meal plan. The meal plan is beyond awesome, reasonable prices with a side of super tasty food and a treat of huge variety.

As we begin listing days and plotting activities, there are 2 events
that remain the same year after year. Our family Disney tradition to occur at every visit. We will always start and end our week long stay….at Magic Kingdom. Nothing can replace kicking off the week with fireworks, magic, and Wishes. Ending each vacation is bittersweet and it seems fitting to close the week with Tinkerbell soaring overhead as we prepare to spend our last night at the happiest place on earth.

To be cont….
