Christmas at Fort Wilderness

I’ve been sharing with you all season some of my favorite places to visit to check out the holiday decor.  Well, this next one is a hidden gem that not many people know about.  It’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. So since we are local, we like to visit all the resorts and see the holiday decor.  Fort Wilderness is my all time favorite place to go.  We will be going out of town for Christmas Continue Reading

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays Food Tasting

Our annual TMSM Meetup was held at Epcot during the Festival of the Holidays and was the perfect opportunity to taste some of the great holiday offerings from around the world.  So myself and fellow staffer Corey Tucker, and our families, set out to sample as much as we could while everyone in the meetup was doing the big scavenger hunt. First up was Canada and the Yukon Holiday Kitchen.  We all got the Seared S Continue Reading

Holiday Monorail Crawl

Who doesn’t love Walt Disney World during the holidays?  Disney always does an amazing job of decorating for the holidays. Each resort and park has their own theme and it’s so fun to see what they come up with for the holidays. Earlier in the season I wrote a blog about practicing patience in the parks this holiday season. Sometimes we need to take a break from the parks and do something different to get away Continue Reading

Holiday Decor at Wilderness Lodge

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to head over to the different resorts and check out the holiday decor.  Wilderness Lodge has one of the most beautiful Christmas trees.  It is just so grand and the atmosphere of the resort just makes you feel like you are somewhere up North. Sometimes you can park at the resort and let them know that you are just coming to look at the holiday decor, but when Continue Reading

Holiday Decor at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

As I’ve said before, one of my favorite things to do during the holidays at Walt Disney World is to resort hop to see all the beautiful holiday decorations.  Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is one of my favorites. Stepping into the resort, it’s absolutely stunning. So elegant.  When you walk in you see the grand Christmas tree front and center in the main lobby. The Victorian style tre Continue Reading

The Disney Wedding Pavilion

We were taking a leisurely stroll from the Polynesian Village Resort to the Grand Floridian Resort one night to see the Holiday decor, and on our way over we passed by the Disney Wedding Pavilion. The doors were open and we were able to get a peek. It’s absolutely stunning. It looked like they had just finished a wedding earlier in the day. There were rose petals scattered on the walkway just like in a fairy tal Continue Reading

Holiday Decor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This past weekend we hopped on the monorail to visit some of the resorts and check out the holiday decor.  Sometimes people are looking for something cheap and fun to do while visiting Walt Disney World.  Visiting the resorts to see the holiday decor is a top on my family’s list.  Yes we are local, but when family comes to visit and they aren’t quite into the parks as much as we are, visiting the res Continue Reading

Disney Deals at the Character Warehouse

This past weekend we stopped by the Orlando Premium Outlets to see what kind of Disney Merchandise they had in stock at the Character Warehouse. If you aren’t familiar with the Character Warehouse, they carry park merchandise at a discounted price. Usually these items are discontinued in the parks or seasonal items. It’s a great place to get authentic Disney souvenirs at a great price. Or for us locals it’s a Continue Reading
