Gary Sinise Just Flew 1,000 Gold Star Kids to Disney World for Christmas…and Their Surviving Parents

Gary Sinise, probably best known for his role as Lt. Dan in “Forrest Gump,” has long worked with veterans and veterans groups, such as flying veterans to the National World War II Museum to tell their stories or serving them Thanksgiving dinner. This Christmas, he’s not just focusing on veterans themselves, but their children — namely, the children left behind when one of our heroes tragically passes away. Continue Reading

Holiday Monorail Crawl

Who doesn’t love Walt Disney World during the holidays?  Disney always does an amazing job of decorating for the holidays. Each resort and park has their own theme and it’s so fun to see what they come up with for the holidays. Earlier in the season I wrote a blog about practicing patience in the parks this holiday season. Sometimes we need to take a break from the parks and do something different to get away Continue Reading

Holiday Decor at Wilderness Lodge

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to head over to the different resorts and check out the holiday decor.  Wilderness Lodge has one of the most beautiful Christmas trees.  It is just so grand and the atmosphere of the resort just makes you feel like you are somewhere up North. Sometimes you can park at the resort and let them know that you are just coming to look at the holiday decor, but when Continue Reading

Flashback Friday! Backstreet Bears, MVMCP! (fun video!)

It’s Friday and I thought it would be fun to do a TMSM Flashback post with one of my favorite moments we got on video since moving down here to Florida. In December of 2014 at the Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom, we went to the dance party at the Golden Horseshoe and caught this moment from the Country Bears. If you’re a fan of Disney AND Boy Bands, it’s a must see! Enjoy!   Continue Reading
