So, I’ve seen this Frozen Silly Putty floating around Pinterest for some time and thought it was about time that I checked it out. It looks so pretty in all of the pictures that I’ve seen. I don’t know about you, but I have 3 Frozen fans at home ranging in ages from 3-13. So, I’m pretty sure all of them would love either making it or playing with it! The only supply I was concerned with is Borax, but I found it at Target. The only problem is it’s a giant box and you only need ½ a teaspoon. Fortunately it’s only $3.99 and you never know when you might need it again.

The instructions I saw online all had you using clear glue and then adding glitter. Well I happened to come across blue Elmer’s Glitter Glue which matched the Frozen colors perfectly, so I substituted that instead. If you’ve noticed, all of my crafts so far are things that you either have on hand or you can find at a one stop shop. I have a very active 3 year old, so going in stores with him are not always fun and I need to be able to run in and out. Also, all of the kids should be able to help with this craft. The only part I yield caution to is the hot water. You may want your older children or you to handle this step, but other than that this craft is fun to do with the whole family. So let’s get started with my version of Frozen Fun Putty!

Supplies

1 bottle Elmer’s Galactic Glitter Glue (177 ml)
The same amount of water (147 ml)
1/2 teaspoon of Borax
1/2 cup hot water

Step 1
Pour glue into a bowl

Step 2
Fill the empty glue bottle with water and add it to the glue in the bowl.

Step 3
Stir water and glue until well combined

Step 4
In a separate container combine ½ cup of hot water and ½ a teaspoon of Borax and stir until Borax is dissolved

Step 5
Pour the Borax solution in the bowl with your other ingredients

Step 6
Stir all the ingredients together and watch how it all transforms into this cool putty! It may take a few minutes to stir to the right consistency. I also found that it seemed to have a bit of extra water, so I strained the extra water and had my son mush it all together. He absolutely loves it!
