Papa Johns Launches ‘Papa Johns Pizza Planet’ Pop-Ups to Celebrate Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5. For more than 30 years, Disney and Pixar fans have dreamed of visiting Pizza Planet, the iconic arcade-style restaurant that first appeared in the original Toy Story. Complete with claw machines, space-themed décor, and plenty of pizza, it became one of the most memorable locations in Pixar history. Now, with Toy Story 5 heading to theaters on June 19, Papa Johns is turning that dream into reality by bringing Pizza Planet off the screen and into the real world through a series of immersive pop-up experiences around the globe.

Papa Johns Brings Pizza Planet to Life
Papa Johns has announced an exciting global collaboration with Disney and Pixar to celebrate the upcoming release of Toy Story 5. As part of the campaign, the pizza chain is launching four immersive Papa Johns Pizza Planet experiences inspired by the beloved sci-fi pizzeria first introduced to audiences in 1995.
The pop-up experiences will appear throughout June in Los Angeles, London, Seoul, and Madrid, allowing fans to step directly into a world inspired by the Toy Story films. Designed as retro-style pizza arcades, the locations will feature themed environments filled with games, interactive experiences, movie-inspired surprises, and plenty of opportunities to relive childhood memories.

Visitors can enjoy limited-time menu items created specifically for the promotion, including pizzas with names inspired by the Toy Story universe such as Space Ranger Roni, Sheriff’s Roundup, and Reach for the Pie. The experience also includes exclusive packaging, collectible merchandise, and special giveaways featuring prizes from brands including adidas and Belkin.
For fans unable to attend one of the pop-up locations, Papa Johns is expanding the celebration worldwide. From May 26 through July 19, participating restaurants across 43 international markets will offer a limited-time Toy Story 5 menu, giving guests an opportunity to join in the fun no matter where they are.

The promotion also introduces Papa Johns’ first-ever in-app game. Beginning June 1, U.S. Papa Rewards members can play Operation Pizza through the Papa Johns app, unlocking rewards and special perks during the month-long event.
Jenna Bromberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Papa Johns, explained that the campaign celebrates the strong connection many families have with both pizza nights and movie nights.
“For so many, movie nights and pizza nights are one and the same and Toy Story has been a part of that experience for three decades,” Bromberg said.

Chris Lyn-Sue, Senior Vice President and General Manager of International at Papa Johns, added that both Toy Story and pizza share a unique ability to bring people together across generations.
Disney is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration. Lylle Breier, Executive Vice President of Partnerships & Events at The Walt Disney Studios, noted that the campaign captures the heart of Toy Story by celebrating friendship, imagination, and shared experiences.
The campaign is supported by a global 360-degree marketing effort, including a custom commercial produced by Pixar Animation Studios, helping bring the beloved Pizza Planet experience to life for fans around the world.
