Marvel fans have a lot to be excited about this week, as new details on Avengers: Doomsday’s runtime and ticket sales have officially been confirmed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is preparing to put premium-format tickets on sale for Avengers: Doomsday starting July 20, nearly five months ahead of the film’s December 18 release. The early sale applies specifically to Infinity Vision theaters, Disney’s newly created large-format screen designation for select Doomsday showings. The studio introduced Infinity Vision after Warner Bros. locked in exclusive access to Imax screens for Dune: Part Three for two weeks following its release, which also happens to land on December 18.
How Long Will Avengers: Doomsday Be?
Along with the ticket news comes a runtime: 165 minutes, or two hours and 45 minutes. That puts Doomsday longer than 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, which ran 149 minutes, but shorter than 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which clocked in at 181 minutes. Keep in mind the final cut isn’t expected to be locked this far out, so there’s still a chance the runtime shifts slightly before release, though any changes should be minor given the early ticketing rollout.
Disney is also bringing Endgame back to theaters this year with Avengers: Endgame Encore, set for September 25, and Infinity Vision tickets will be available for that release as well. Endgame remains the second-highest-grossing movie of all time worldwide, trailing only Avatar.
The ticket sale news lands just days ahead of Marvel Studios’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, which is expected to bring the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday to Hall H.
Doomsday reunites Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to face a new threat in Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. in his return to the MCU. The massive cast also includes Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Tom Hiddleston, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Vanessa Kirby, Simu Liu, Letitia Wright, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Rebecca Romijn, among many others. Anthony and Joe Russo are back in the director’s chair for the film.
