New Locations Revealed for Soarin’ Across America! We are so excited at all the new things coming soon to Disney Parks this summer, especially the revamped Soarin’ Across America. Yes, it’s still the flight that we all love, but with brand new scenes for people to enjoy in celebration of the 250th birthday of America! Today, Disney is giving us a sneak peek at the new locations and we are thrilled to share that with you!
Along your journey, you will glide above iconic urban and natural wonders, from the rugged New England coastline and the radiant welcome of New York Harbor to the vast expanse of Grand Canyon West.
The experience features so many quintessentially American settings… the autumn colors of the heartland; the beauty of our bayous; the great plains of the west; the northern wilderness; and sunlit island shores.
“Each scene paints a vivid picture of what makes America truly extraordinary,” said Tom Fitzgerald. “From breathtaking natural landscapes to vibrant cities and iconic landmarks, it’s a celebration of the nation’s spirit and the 250th anniversary of the United States.”
Enhancing the experience is a brand-new musical arrangement by Bruce Broughton, inspired by the beloved Soarin’ themes originally created by Jerry Goldsmith. Combined with updated ride programming, wind effects, and other immersive elements, the attraction delivers an unforgettable adventure.
While waiting to board at EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort, guests can also take part in the all-new Soarin’ Challenge Across America trivia experience. Developed in collaboration with National Geographic, the interactive challenge invites guests to discover fun state superlatives such as “Most Likely to Reach for the Stars,” “Most Likely to Lend an Ear,” and “Most Likely to Strike Gold.” Featuring fascinating facts from popular National Geographic titles like 50 States and 5,000 Ideas, along with stunning photography from the National Geographic archives, the experience transforms the EPCOT queue into a tribute to America’s wonder and diversity.
As part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, The Walt Disney Company is honoring the milestone through “Disney Celebrates America,” a company wide initiative featuring special programming, storytelling, and experiences across its iconic brands and businesses.
