Toy Story 5 Merch- Roundup Reveal Week Day 1! Everyone’s favorite playtime friends return for a brand-new adventure as Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters on June 19.
As part of Disney Consumer Products’ “Roundup Reveal Week,” Mattel is releasing a new line of toys inspired by the movie. The collection is based on Bonnie’s imaginative play and highlights the film’s main idea; what happens when classic toys meet modern technology. The new rollout will be officially available to shop at major retailers starting April 26. Let’s talk in more detail about these new toys!
At the heart of the launch is Mattel’s Playscale Interactables line—a new type of toy that does more than just talk. These figures can actually respond and interact with each other. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Forky, and a new character named Lilypad all feature their own phrases and can “recognize” one another, letting them communicate in real time.
This connected play also includes one of the coolest new toys: the Giddy-Up Bullseye RC. It’s a remote-control horse that works with the Playscale figures. Kids can place Woody, Jessie, or Buzz in the saddle and enjoy a ride filled with movement, sounds, and fun character reactions.
The rest of the lineup brings back classic Toy Story play patterns with some fun new features! A pull-string Running Woody lets kids recreate his iconic run, while the Critter Talk Jessie figure introduces something new from the film: her ability to “talk” to animals. She even comes with yodeling sounds and an adorable pig friend! How fun!
For collectors, this may be of interest! The 16-inch Ultimate Action Woody and Buzz Lightyear figures come packed with an “Alive Mode,” featuring moving mouths, eyes, and necks for a more lifelike feel. They also respond to clapping and posing. Buzz even makes flying sounds when lifted—and if Woody is nearby, the two can interact with each other just like in the movies.
Younger kiddos have plenty of options too. The collection includes Small Stars mini figures that come in reusable backpack keychains, soft plush versions of favorite characters, and a “Ginormous” Bullseye that’s perfect for big hugs. There’s also a seven-character multipack designed for recreating scenes, plus a playful “What Is a Wedding?” set inspired by one of the film’s more quirky storylines featuring Forky.
The fun doesn’t stop with figures. This release also branches into interactive and role-play toys, like the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Laser Gauntlet, which features lights, sounds, and vibration effects. Fans of racing toys can check out the new Hot Wheels sets inspired by the film, including a Buzz-themed launcher and track designs. Even UNO is joining the celebration with a Toy Story 5-themed deck full of colorful character art.
