To Infinity and Beyond Again! Disney Pixar Drops First Toy Story 5 Teaser Trailer. The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time around it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs get exponentially harder when they go head to head with this all-new threat to playtime. Directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by McKenna Harris and produced by Jessica Choi, “Toy Story 5” opens only in theaters on June 19, 2026.
The gang is back — and this time, playtime’s about to get a lot more complicated! In the brand-new teaser trailer for Toy Story 5, fans get their first look at an unexpected new character named Lilypad, a sleek, high-tech frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show, TRON: Ares). Lilypad isn’t your average toy — she’s loaded with cutting-edge smarts, making things a whole lot tougher for Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the beloved crew as they face off against a brand-new kind of threat to playtime.
Of course, the teaser wouldn’t feel complete without the familiar voices that have defined this beloved franchise for nearly three decades. Tom Hanks returns as everyone’s favorite cowboy, Woody, while Tim Allen once again takes flight as Buzz Lightyear. Joan Cusack also rides back into action as the ever-spirited cowgirl Jessie, ready to lasso our hearts all over again.
Adding to the fun, the teaser confirmed an all-new comedic twist — Conan O’Brien joins the cast as Smarty Pants, a toilet-training tech toy sure to bring plenty of laughs (and likely a few potty jokes).
Fans won’t have to wait too much longer to return to the toy box — Toy Story 5 hits theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026.
