Opening Date Announced for “The Walt Disney Studios” Outdoor Courtyard Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There’s even more magic on the way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year! Guests visiting the park will soon have a brand-new area to explore when “The Walt Disney Studios” outdoor courtyard officially opens on May 26.
This newly designed space will give families a place to relax, explore, and enjoy interactive Disney-themed experiences inspired by the legacy of Walt Disney Animation.
But the fun doesn’t stop there.
Arriving later this summer, guests will also be able to experience The Magic of Disney Animation, a reimagined area packed with playful moments and creative activities for visitors of all ages.
One highlight of the new space will be the “Drawn to Wonderland” playground, a whimsical play area inspired by the colorful world of Alice in Wonderland. Younger guests will have a chance to climb, explore, and let their imaginations run wild in this creative environment.
Fans will also be able to meet beloved Disney characters at “Off the Page!”, where Disney friends will be ready to greet guests and pose for photos inside the animation-inspired setting.
For those who have ever dreamed of learning how Disney characters are created, “Olaf Draws” will offer a special opportunity. In this interactive experience, guests will learn to draw alongside guidance from legendary Disney Animation artists. Through pre-recorded instruction, visitors will be guided step-by-step as they sketch Olaf from Frozen and bring their own artwork to life.
The new courtyard and upcoming animation experiences will celebrate the creativity and storytelling that have made Disney Animation beloved for generations.
With the courtyard opening May 26 and additional experiences arriving later this summer, Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to add new ways for guests to experience the magic of animation.
