Preview of the Disney Destiny, See What I Learned! On Monday, I was invited to an exclusive event to learn about the upcoming Disney Cruise Line ship, the Destiny. The Disney Destiny will be the newest ship in the fleet, and is designed like the Disney Wish and the new Disney Treasure. Even though these beautiful ships have the same layout, the theme is very different for each. The Destiny theme will be Heroes and Villains, and we got to see a peek at how Disney will tie all of this together. Let’s discuss!

Our day started off early, with a villain themed breakfast at the Contemporary Resort, which featured an appearance by Maleficent herself! What a way to start the day it was! Afterwards, Disney bussed our group to Port Canaveral to board the Disney Wish. It was just content gathering, we didn’t leave the port. Once onboard, we got to see some first looks from merchandise to artist renderings of the new ship. Also, Minnie debuted her brand new costume for the Destiny, super hero Minnie! Her dress coincided with some of the new merchandise that will be on the Destiny. Loungefly backpacks, spirit jerseys, pins and more!

We also got a look at some sweets and drinks that will be featured on the Destiny.

Artist renderings were shared of the themes for the staterooms. We also got a preview at the atrium art which showed what guests will see when they first board the ship. A Black Panther statue was created and Loki will be up on the balcony welcoming guests, but of course will have evil plans to take over the ship. On the outside of the Destiny, the character on the stern will be Spiderman and his bots. So cool!

One of the things I was most curious about, was the theme of the main lounge on the ship. The one that gets the most patrons. On the Wish it’s Hyperspace Lounge, the Treasure has the Haunted Mansion Parlor which I love. The Destiny will have the Sanctum lounge, themed for Doctor Strange.

As for entertainment, the Disney Destiny will feature an all new show, Hercules! There is a lot of heart and preparation for this new show, I have no doubt that it will be amazing.

We concluded the event with lunch on board, then headed back to the Contemporary. That evening we got a look at the entertainment coming to the Cruella themed piano bar on the Destiny. Cruella will be on the scene critiquing everyone’s fashion choices and will have special drinks available.

The event concluded with a special dinner that gave us a sample of what the new dinner show themed for the Lion King will entail.

All in all, the Disney Destiny looks to be an amazing ship. It seems as though Disney Cruise Line keeps upping their game with each new ship. The Treasure currently is my favorite ship, but I haven’t seen the Destiny yet so we shall see. I can’t wait to hear more details about the Disney Destiny as they release them. A huge thank you to Disney Cruise Line for this first look opportunity. Here’s a video of some of what we saw!
