Marvel Studios has dropped the Official Avengers Doomsday Trailer on YouTube, watch it below. After more than a year of slow-burn character teasers, Marvel Studios finally gave fans the full picture today with the release of the official trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, the next chapter in the mega-franchise arriving in theaters December 18, 2026. The film brings beloved heroes from three distinct universes onto a deadly collision course, facing an existential threat unlike anything they have ever encountered before.
The build-up to this trailer has been a slow burn by design. Marvel had previously debuted four character-centric teaser trailers, focused specifically on Chris Evans’ return as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth’s return as Thor, the X-Men’s long-awaited comeback, and the crossover between the Fantastic Four and the Wakandans. Doctor Doom was intentionally kept out of that first wave of marketing. Now, with the full trailer here, Robert Downey Jr. shared the new poster alongside the simple and ominous caption: “Doom does not knock.”
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz. The screenplay is written by Stephen McFeely, co-written by Michael Waldron, the team behind some of the biggest MCU films and series to date. This marks the Russo Brothers’ highly anticipated return to the MCU after their work on Infinity War and Endgame.
