Guests planning a stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa later this year should be aware of a temporary dining change and ongoing resort enhancements. Walt Disney World has announced that the Grand Floridian Cafe will close for refurbishment from mid-July through October 2026. During this time, brunch service will be relocated to Cítricos, allowing guests to continue enjoying many of their favorite menu offerings while improvements are completed. The closure is part of a larger series of updates taking place throughout the resort as Disney continues investing in one of its most iconic deluxe destinations.
Walt Disney World has confirmed that the Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close for refurbishment beginning in mid-July and continuing through October 2026.
To accommodate guests during the closure, brunch service will temporarily move to Cítricos. Guests visiting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will still have access to the resort’s other dining locations throughout the refurbishment period, ensuring plenty of dining options remain available.
The dining update comes as Disney continues work on several enhancement projects across the resort. Ongoing renovations will continue in select areas of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, including improvements to the resort’s covered entrance. Construction work is expected to continue through early 2027.
During this time, guests may encounter daytime construction activity, including occasional noise and modified walking routes around portions of the resort. Disney has indicated that alternate pathways may be necessary while work is underway.
Despite the temporary changes, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will remain open and operational, with its signature Victorian elegance, resort amenities, and dining experiences continuing to welcome guests throughout the renovation process.
