FX’s critically acclaimed and Emmy Award-winning series The Bear will premiere its fifth and final season on Thursday, June 25, at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT on FX and Hulu. All eight episodes will be available to stream immediately, giving fans the opportunity to experience the complete final chapter from day one.
The announcement comes just after the surprise release of the special flashback episode “Gary,” co-written by and starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal. The episode follows Richie and Mikey on a work trip to Gary and is now available to watch by searching for “Gary” on Hulu and Disney+.
The fifth season begins the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie, and Natalie “Sugar” (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has stepped away from the restaurant business, leaving them to carry on without him.
With the restaurant facing financial difficulties, the threat of a sale, and a torrential storm on the horizon, the team must come together for one final service in hopes of earning their long-awaited Michelin Guide star. Along the way, they learn that perfection may not be defined by the food itself, but by the people who pour their hearts into creating it.
The series also stars Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, with recurring appearances by Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
