Disney, Magna Studios, and Sony Music Vision have officially announced a highly anticipated documentary centered on the legendary British band Oasis.

Presented by Disney+, the currently untitled documentary will debut in select IMAX and theaters worldwide beginning September 11 as part of a limited theatrical engagement. Following its big-screen release, the film will stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the United States later this year.
A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Oasis Live ’25
The documentary follows Oasis during their highly anticipated Live ’25 reunion tour, one of the most significant rock comebacks in decades. The film captures the emotional journey surrounding the reunion of brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher and explores the profound connection their music has maintained with fans across generations.
Audiences will gain unprecedented access to rehearsals, backstage moments, and live performances, along with the first joint interviews featuring the Gallagher brothers in more than 25 years.
Steven Knight Leads the Creative Team
The documentary is created by BAFTA and Academy Award-nominated writer, producer, and director Steven Knight, best known for Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows.
Directing duties are handled by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose previous projects include Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom.
Knight described the film as a celebration not only of the band but also of the fans whose lives have been shaped by Oasis’s music, emphasizing the power of songwriting to unite people across generations and cultures.
Disney Highlights the Global Impact of Oasis
Eric Schrier, President of Direct-to-Consumer International Originals, Strategic Programming, and Emerging Media for Disney, called the project a rare opportunity to tell a story about reconciliation, music, and one of the most influential bands of all time.
The documentary is produced by Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley, with executive producers Kate Shepherd, Marisa Clifford, Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener, Isabel Davis, and Tim O’Shea. The technical team includes Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather and Tarn Willers, along with acclaimed cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos.
