Masters of the Universe Official Teaser Trailer Released. If you grew up in the 1980s, there’s a good chance He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was a daily ritual after school. For many of us, racing home to catch Prince Adam raise his sword and declare, “By the power of Grayskull!”wasn’t just a cartoon—it was part of growing up. The action figures, the opening theme song, the over-the-top villains, and that unmistakable mix of fantasy and heroism left a lasting impression on an entire generation. Now, decades later, that childhood magic is set to return in a whole new way as He-Man makes the leap from our living room TV screens to the big screen, bringing a wave of nostalgia with it for fans who never stopped believing in the power of Grayskull.
Masters of the Universe is scheduled to be released in the United States and Canada on June 5, 2026, by Amazon MGM Studios, and internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing International.
This is not the first live action Masters of the Universe film. In 1987, starring Dolph Lundgren, was considered a critical and commercial failure, grossing $17 million worldwide against a budget of $22 million. At the time of release, it was met with negative reviews from film critics, but is now regarded as a cult film.
