Hey Main Streeters!

Have you always dreamed of sailing on a Disney cruise but weren’t sure where to begin? That’s how I was!

Until Michele and Scott announced a group cruise on the Disney Wish! I checked out the dates, used some well-deserved time off days from my teaching job, and before I knew it, it was time to sail! A group cruise with like-minded, Disney loving friends was the best way to try it out! I will warn you though, you will be hooked the minute you step onto the ship!

Booking it was so easy! I simply contacted my MEI-Mouse Fan Travel agent and got all of the information I needed.  Especially as a first-time cruiser, it was so nice to have someone to go to with any questions I had along the way! All it took to reserve was a down payment. The rest was due closer to the actual sail date. My wonderful agent would remind us of deadlines that were coming up, like when we could book extra things, when we had to make payments, and most importantly when we had to check in and get our all-important port arrival time (PAT).

Then came the fun part, starting to plan! There are all kinds of paid extras you can add on, like specialty dining on board, paid excursions at the ports, and different photo packages. My cabinmates and I decided to forego the paid excursions but we did add on the unlimited photo package and we’re very glad we did. We got some great pictures from all parts of our trip and memories that will last a lifetime.

I absolutely loved every minute on the Wish! I tried to check out absolutely everything and looking back on it, I think I did a pretty good job! Check back here for future articles about specific parts of the trip!
