What to do on your departure day from Disney World without a park ticket

A while back, I wrote about what to do on your Walt Disney World arrival day without a park ticket. I am continuing this series with what to do on your departure day at Disney World without a park ticket.

For most guests, the last day of a Walt Disney World vacation are partial days. A little time in Orlando paired with travel time. Most people don’t want the magic to end, but don’t have the time to do another park day. That doesn’s mean the magic has to end thoough! There are plenty of things to keep you busy until it’s really time to go.

Pack and get ready for checkout.

Unfortunately, this is a reality we all have to deal with. The suitcase and all of the new memories must be packed and ready to head out.

Take a last swim in your resort pool.

The resort pools have such great theming, why not take advantage as long as you can?

Check out the resort activities.

The resorts offer several activities for kids and adults on the pool decks and other main areas. You could make a tie dye t shirt, get your caricature done, or participate in pool games. You will find a schedule in your resorts lobby and by the main pool of your resort.

Try your resort arcade.

Try your luck at some video games in your resorts arcade.

Head out on a golf course.

Disney has several on property golf courses, both regular and mini, for you to try.

Hit Disney Springs!

Need some food and drink before you hit the road?

Want to buy that last minute souvenir?

Disney Springs is your place! You can either drive your car or take a resort bus and return to your resort to leave later.

Visit some other resorts.

If you are like me, you are probably already plotting and planning your next magical trip before you leave. I like to try different resorts to have different experiences and stay in different parts of the Disney bubble.

A fun way to spend a few hours on your last day is to take Disney transportation and check out other resorts. Add to your bucket list and find your next “home”.

Do some Disney pin trading.

Many of the resort giftshops and check in desks have pin boards to trade with. Grab your traders and find some new treasures for your collection!

One last character visit.

Book one last character meal to say goodbye to your favorite Disney pals.

Take some last-minute photos.

One thing I love to do on my last day is spend some time walking around my resort and take more pictures. There are so many details in everywhere and I want to remember all of them when I get home.

What do you do on your last day at Disney? Have you found a hidden gem that you must do before you leave?
