“Encanto” Soundtrack & “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” Both No. 1

The Encanto Original Motion Picture Soundtrack from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, featuring eight original songs by Tony® and Grammy®-winning songwriter/composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton,” “Moana”) with an original score by composer Germaine Franco maintains the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending Jan. 27, 2022. The set earned 115,000 equivalent album units (up 11%) in its ninth week on the chart. The album also maintains the top position on Billboard’s Soundtrack and Independent Album charts for the fourth consecutive week.

On Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has moved from No. 2 up to No. 1 and “Surface Pressure” moved from No. 10 to No. 9. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is the second song from a Disney animated film to top the Hot 100 since 1993’s “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. There are a total of seven tracks from Encanto on the Hot 100, all with new high positions, a first for a Disney animated film and for any film from The Walt Disney Company: No. 1, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” No. 9, “Surface Pressure,” No. 20, “The Family Madrigal,” No. 27, “What Else Can I Do?,” No. 36, “Dos Oruguitas,” No. 48, “Waiting On a Miracle,” and No. 82, “All of You.”

• “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” holds its No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Song Consumption, Top Audio Streams and Top Video Streams charts and is No. 2 on the Global 200. The song also holds the #1 Top Song and #1 Top Music Video positions at YouTube. The videohas over 225M combined views to date. The track has surpassed 100M streams globally on Spotify.

• Music from Encanto is featured on the Disney Hits playlist, which now has over 4M followers on Spotify.

• “Surface Pressure” has over 133M combined video views, is No. 9 on Billboard’s Hot 100, No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Consumption and No. 9 on the Global 200 chart.

• “Dos Oruguitas” is No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Streaming Songs and No. 1 Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales charts. The track is No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Song chart.

• Encanto Soundtrack is #1 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums US chart, #1 on Amazon Albums Chart, #1 on Apple Music’s Album Chart and #1 on iTunes Albums Chart.

•  In the UK, the soundtrack has been #1 on the UK Official Compilation and UK Official Soundtrack Charts for four consecutive weeks. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is #1 on the UK Singles Chart for the second consecutive week. “Surface Pressure” is #5 on the UK Singles chart.

• In Canada, the soundtrack is No. 1 on Billboard’s Canadian Albums chart and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is No. 1 on Billboard’s Canadian Top 200 Song Consumption chart.
