Well Main Streeters, today is the day.

Disney Legend, actress and comedian Betty White would have turned 100 years old today. Triple digits! That is crazy! Unfortunately, she was taken from us on December 31st, 2021. I was as shocked as the rest of the world.

Betty had many accomplishments in her life, but I will remember her most for her role as Rose Nylund on my favorite TV show, The Golden Girls. She has me laughing in every episode! I’m sure the Rose quotes will be all over social media today and in the coming days as we all honor Betty. I also relate to her because I too live in Minnesota and there is a St. Olaf College here.

White was also known for her work with animal rescues and animal rights. She reportedly owned many, many dogs in her lifetime. There is a campaign for her fans to honor her memory by donating to their local animal rescue. What a wonderful tribute to a lady who gave so much while she could!

How will you honor Betty White? Will you donate money to an animal rescue? Will you wear a Golden Girls T Shirt? Will you watch a Golden Girls marathon?

Thank You For Being A Friend Betty, and Rest In Peace.
