Emma Stone Reimagines Cruella De Vil in Her New Role

February 16, 2021 ,

In a newly released movie poster of the upcoming live-action Disney film “Cruella,” we spot a fierce Emma Stone who’s look has been reimagined into a villainous and vicious new style–and we can’t get enough!

“Hello, Cruel World,” said Disney, in a tweet announcing the news that a trailer for “Cruella” will drop tomorrow. A new poster for the film features a close-up of the edgy looking Stone, 32, in black-and-white. Her glam-punk look is wildly eye-catching and is quite reminiscent to Madonna in her “material girl” days.

The uncolored image shows Stone with half-black and half-white hair, a powder white face and a dark black smokey eye and a jet black lip. At the top of the poster is Emma’s name with a circle around the “A,” more typical of the anarchy symbol–fitting of Cruella.

The first time we got a glimpse of Stone in the character was in a promotional image released back in 2019. The image was released at D23 Expo 2019.

Besides Stone’s fierce look, the only other bit we got about the upcoming film from the new image is a reminder of its release this summer in May 2021.

Not many details have been revealed about the story of the movie other than the fact that it will be “A live-action prequel feature film following a young Cruella de Vil.” The movie was directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara.

Besides Stone, other stars set to take the big screen in the movie include Emma Thompson (Baroness), Mark Strong, Paul Walter Hauser (Horace), Emily Beecham, Joel Fry (Jasper), Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Jamie Demetriou (Gerald).

What are your thoughts on Emma Stone’s look as Cruella? Are you excited to see Stone take on the role of a younger Cruella de Vil? Let us know in the comments!
