Sad News-Several Entertainment Acts, Performers Laid off at WDW

We have sad news to report this evening.
Disney has reportedly had mass layoffs of performers of the following shows:

Citizens of Hollywood
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo — The Musical
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review
Beauty and the Beast Live!
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.
Green Army Men.
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.
Christmas around the World.
Turtle Talk with Crush.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
Disney Junior Live Dance Party

I’m hearing other performers were impacted as well but I don’t want to speculate on the specifics. This news is so disheartening, live performances from these talented individuals help create the magic that is Disney. These entertainers bring so much joy to guests and help create magical memories for so many. There’s no word on whether these shows are permanently done, we hope that’s not the case.

In the meantime, it you’d like to help out Cast Members who are in need, please consider giving to the Cast Member Pantry on our link below.

Part of the goal Michele has for The Main Street Mouse is not only to keep members informed, but to create somewhat of a Disney Family by relating to others through personal experiences and opinions. Also, Michele is making it a priority to share stories of inspiration and hope to other Disney Fans in an effort to share the Magic and hopefully make a difference in the lives of others. ~ I enjoy writing personal perspective blogs, doing TMSM Meet Ups for our readers, and keeping the constant interaction going with others, sharing the Disney Magic to people when they can’t be at their Happy Place.
