Walt Disney World has released their packages rates for 2019 on 6/19. Not all 2019 Walt Disney World vacations will be available to book though. Packages up until October 31st, 2019 will be available on 6/19/18. Dates after will be available later because reservations can only be made up to 499 days in advance. So for example, if you wanted to take a vacation 11/11 – 11/15. In order to get pricing you’d have to wait until 11/15 499th day, which would be 7/4/18.
Many exciting things are schedule to be open for 2019. Toy Story Land will be in full swing from opening 6/30/18. Slinky Dog Dash Coaster and Alien Swirling Saucer will be the main attractions. There will also be a quick service restaurant called Woody’s Lunch Box. In this new land at Hollywood Studios you will be shrunk down to the size of Andy’s toys in his back yard.
Scheduled for the Spring/Summer of 2019 is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This attraction will be the attraction that is replacing The Great Movie Ride. It will be located in Hollywood Studios. An excellent addition to the park!
Finally, schedule for LATE Fall of 2019 is Star Wars Galaxy Edge. Also located in Hollywood studios, this is most anticipated new land! You will be able to explore the Planet of Batuu, fly in the Millennium Falcon and be immersed in an epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance aboard a Star Destroyer!
Disney added a few new room categories to some of their resorts. For example, Wilderness Lodge will now have a Nature Fireworks view, which sounds lovely! Also new and sort of exciting for Port Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach Resort is a new “5th Sleeper” option. Now this option is NOT for families of 5; but, for families of 4 or if the 5th person is under 3 and you want to guarantee to get an additional bed (the trundle bed). So, if you are a family of 4, let’s say with older children who prefer not to sleep in the same bed. Previously we could only REQUEST a trundle bed; but, we couldn’t guarantee it would be available. Now with the 5th sleeper, if a family of 4 picks that option, they will be put in a room with a trundle bed! There is a slight premium to book that category; but, it seems to be only about $10-$15 additional per night!
For ticket pricing the rate to add a day of tickets to your package the increase remained the same. As well as the cost of add hopper did not change for 2019. WOO~HOO!
On the dining plan front, not much has changed including the pricing! Which is great! The Adult rate per night, per person remained the same across all the dining plans. The children’s (3-9) rate per night, per person did increase; but, minimally. Furthermore, if you like having an Alcoholic Beverage or if your family likes those specialty non-alcoholic beverages with their meal, those are remaining for 2019. As well as the additional snack credit for the Quick Service and Disney Dining Plans that was introduced in 2017. So many great, newer restaurants are available for your next vacation to Walt Disney World!
