TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ It’s Almost Time

Happy Wednesday! Welcome to another edition of Adventures in Florida Living! Things are moving along here in Central Florida. The kids are settling in at school, Disney is preparing for Halloween, and I have September activities on the brain! So much going on as usual, lets talk!

It may be only the end of August, but on Disney time, Halloween season is here. Friday night, we went down to Disney Springs to check out the new Halloween Merchandise for the season. I’m a total shopaholic, even if I can’t buy anything, so I look forward to the change in seasons at Disney because of the new goodies. This year, as usual, they have some great items for Halloween. I saw a few things that I have on my wish list, but I’ll wait. Disney is decorating for Halloween but I’m not doing that yet at home, even though I want to. I try to add something to my decorating collection each year, something cute for the house. This year they have an adorable candy bowl that looks like a witches cauldron that I’d love to have. We shall see!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party begins THIS Friday! Can you believe it? Where did the summer go? Last year we went to opening night of the party, but this year we’re waiting till September 1st, as that’s when the media night is. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to go. I love the Halloween party so much, it’s truly the best. The Boo to You Parade is amazing, and HalloWishes… it’s one of the best fireworks shows that I’ve ever seen. Being a Hocus Pocus fan, that show is also on my must do list. My only concern is…. costumes. The kids want them, and I have some ideas, but a lot of stores don’t have costumes on the shelves yet. I’ll figure something out, I always do. I’m just excited that we get to go. Being that the Halloween party is this week, Disney has been busy putting out decorations at the Magic Kingdom. I went over yesterday for a quick trip to get photos and do a live feed. I must not be the only one who loves the Halloween decor, that live feed reached over 355,000 people. That’s crazy, but oh so cool! I love being able to share bits of the magic with our readers, it does my heart good. Thank you to all of you who tuned it, I appreciate that very much. If you missed it, you can watch the replay on our Facebook page.

September is almost here, and the busy times begin. Last week we talked to our friends at Spooky Empire, and they’re hosting their Spooky Day in the Parks event in a few weeks. There’s a convention at Coronado Springs, and TMSM will have a table there. It’s September 22 and 23, and I’ll be putting more info out soon! Very exciting. Speaking of exciting, our big meet up is coming up on September 30th. Meet up weekend is one of my favorite parts of running TMSM. I love it. If you are interested in going, please check out the event tab on our Facebook page. All are welcome. Also, we’re working on possibly doing a pre meet up party the night before, so stay tuned for more. So much to look forward to!

That’s it for this weeks update! I can’t thank you all enough for the amazing support that you’ve given us, it’s very humbling and something we don’t take for granted. Thanks for keeping up with us each week too! Until next time, sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
