New And Returning Star Wars Experiences Coming To Hollywood Studios And Details On New “Star Wars Guided Tour” Released

Last night at the Disney Parks Blog’s Star Wars Rogue One: A Star Wars Story media event as part of a one time projection event Spaceship Earth was turned into the Death Star. At this event it was announced that new Rogue One themed Star Wars experiences would be coming to Hollywood Studios.  These new experiences include new props from Rogue One being added to the Star Wars Launch Bay and making-of footage being added to the the behind-the-scenes film currently being shown at the Launch Bay Theater. Storm Trooper fans will love knowing that  AWR Troopers are coming to the daily Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show.  Those trying to see all the scenes in Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, will be excited to know learn that the ride will soon feature new Rogue One footage come mid-December and that the ride will be returning to a randomized start and finish.

Some of the most exciting news announced last night was that the fireworks and projection show “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” is returning to Hollywood Studios on December 16 and through December 31st it will be joining Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!** as part of the parks nightly entertainment lineup. Of course what would the Galactic Spectacular be without the “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party”? The Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party will be returning to Hollywood Studios on December 31. Guests who will be spending New Year’s Eve at Hollywood Studios can participate in a special New Year’s even version of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party” for $79 per adult and $49 per child*.  Then starting January 1, 2017 the cost  will be $69 per adult and $39 per child*. The Dessert party will continue to include various Star Wars themed desserts, specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic  drinks and  a souvenir Chewbacca stein. Guests should consult MDE and the Disney Park’s Time Guide for show times.

Finally it was announced that a 7-hour long all ages indoor/outdoor Star Wars themed walking tour will be coming to Hollywood Studios starting January 2, 2017.  The tour that will include a Star Wars inspired dinner at the Backlot Express; a meet and greet with Chewbacca and Kylo Ren; a screening of the Star Wars: Path of the Jedi movie; reserved viewing of both live stage shows March of the First Order and Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away;  a tour of the Launch Bay; children 4-12 can participate in the Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple show;  a ride on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue; and admission to the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party which includes reserved viewing for the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular show. Also included in the tour is a “personalized souvenir of your tour to take home with you to commemorate your adventures.”  The $129 per person “Star Wars Guided Tour” will be held on Mondays and Saturdays and can be booked by calling (407) 939-8687.
