We wanted to share with you some information from Disney Travel corporation that will effect those trying to book, make payments, or modify Walt Disney World and Aulani reservations.

From Disney Destination Travel:
Walt Disney Travel Corporation has announced there will be a planned outage to their Walt Disney World and Aulani Booking systems this Friday and Saturday.

Please note the Walt Disney Travel Company-Florida package and Aulani booking systems will undergo a system update Nov. 18-19, 2016. This update will have the following impacts:

Booking Outage:

  • There will be a Walt Disney Travel Company-Florida and Aulani package booking outage scheduled to begin mid to late afternoon on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 (Eastern Standard Time) and extend through Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016.
  • Room-only reservations will be unavailable on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016.
  • This will apply to online bookings and phone bookings.
  • Air bookings are currently unavailable on Walt Disney Travel Company-Florida and Aulani Packages (air modifications to existing bookings may still be available by phone), and are expected to resume Nov. 22, 2016.

Confirmation Numbers

  • As a result of this system update, confirmation numbers will change – the numbers will be 8 digit, all numeric and will start with a “1”.
  • You may use either the old or new reservation number to visit My Disney Experience and link your reservation and engage in MyDisneyExperience to select FastPass+ experiences, book dining reservations, etc.
  • UPDATE: Please note: there will be no impact to existing FastPass+ or dining reservations booked by your Clients in their MyDisneyExperience profile using their original reservation number.

Disney Reservation Center

  • During the outage, the Disney Reservation Center will be unable to book, modify or take payments on package reservations.
  • You will still be able to purchase tickets, book dining reservations and make FastPass+ selections.

Final Document Update

  • During this transition, all Disney Magical Express luggage tags and instructions will be sent separately from Walt Disney Travel Company Final Documents. Disney Magical Express tags will continue to ship 40 days prior to arrival.

In addition, please note the post-booking pre-arrival communications will be unavailable during this time, as well as onsite MyDisneyExperience messages related to Room-Ready/Online Check-in and Vero Beach and Hilton Head Pre-Arrival messaging. During the outage, the MyMagic+ Message Center will not be updated.
