Often we hear people who haven’t experienced the deluxe resorts accommodations ask this, or folks will say “I’d rather spend my money in the parks”. And for the most part, I agree. However, having had the opportunity to stay at the Contemporary resort on the concierge level during a trip for Star Wars weekends, we got a very unique experience which you can only really achieve at the monorail resorts… We were lucky enough to get a park view, and decided that we were going to leave the park with enough time to get the kids washed up and ready for bed. While I did that, my husband went downstairs and got ice cream for us all. We sat on the deck and watched the water parade on the lake and then the magic of the fireworks. We could even hear the music a little from there. It was so relaxed, and enjoyable! And, in my opinion, completely worth the extra for the trip. I love experiencing all of the different offerings from each resort but, to this day, it is still my fondest Disney memory. What’s yours?

The only thing I can add to this on the YES it is absolutely worth it side (and Guest Services just doesn’t think about it to “announce” it)… One of the TV channels actually broadcasts the music for the fireworks. So, you can have the fireworks and the soundtrack too.
