Here at The Main Street Mouse, we try to listen to feedback and give our readers info on what they’re looking for. One topic that comes up over and over again, is shopping and Disney fashion. People love to find Disney outfits and accessories, or look for ways to incorporate Disney into their personal style or wardrobe. That being said, we’re launching a new series that will gear towards these very topics with the all new Fashion Fridays! Fashion Fridays will give you a look into various Disney styles, clothing, make up, fashion tips and so much more. I’ve recruited an old Disney friend to help me with the series, who is an expert when it comes to shopping, make up, and merging Disney into daily style, Melissa Ingersoll!
A little bit about Melissa ~
Melissa is a licensed cosmetologist and lives in Las Vegas Nevada. She is an avid Disney fan and goes to Disneyland as much as possible, and has a true passion for combining her love of Disney and beauty. In her own words, “I love Disney history. Collect Haunted Mansion memorabilia and Disney books. I love love love the Jambalaya Jazz Band at Disneyland so much, that it actually physically hurts. I also love Disney parades, they are life. My favorite things at Disneyland are the Mark Twain and the Disneyland Railroad.” About the topic at hand~ “I definitely take advantage of my annual pass discount and splurge frequently. I spend countless hours on Main Street eyeing merchandise And choosing the perfect souvenir. . . Usually a new, sparkly Minnie Mouse ear headband or the latest Dooney bag.” Melissa also loves Disney Bounding ideas and is up on the latest trends in hair and makeup. She’s going to be a perfect addition to TMSM with her fashion sense and love for all things Disney!
Those that know me, know that I too have an affection for shopping as well, especially when it comes to incorporating Disney into that hobby. When it comes to Disney Park souvenirs and fashion, our readers will get the best of both coasts, as Melissa is closer to the Disneyland Resort and I can keep an eye on what’s good at Walt Disney World. We’re also going to be looking at the latest trends off of Disney property and seeing what we can find that anyone could enjoy, regardless if you’re close to a Disney Park or not. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
In addition to fashion tips and such, our resident Broadway and RunDisney blogger, Addie Clark, will be sharing her merchandise finds with you in our 6:00 blog (est)!
