Happy Wednesday Everyone! It’s already time for our weekly check in, time really flies! I hope that you’re all doing well this evening and are ready to catch up. I sure am, so lets get chatting!
The weather here in Central Florida is finally getting warmer. Actually, the past two days have been the warmest here in over a month. So what’s a girl to do? Hmm… go to Disney maybe? Sure! We actually did get in some Disney time over the weekend. We went and checked out the Disney Character Warehouse at the outlet mall on Saturday. You can really get some good deals on Disney Parks merchandise over there if you time it right. It’s hit or miss, but always worth a shot to go take a look.
On Sunday, we had friends in town so we went to Hollywood Studios for a little bit. We wanted to go check out Club Disney, the new dance party there, because we heard it’s already leaving. Yes, already! Club Disney just opened in December, and is a great place for guests to get out of the sun and dance with the most popular Disney characters. We talked to Cast Members on the scene, and it’s pretty somber all around among them that Club Disney is already finished. They suggested that people complain to Guest Services in hopes that Disney will change their mind, but we know how that usually goes. So, we’re sad to see it go, allegedly at the end of this week. However, as we were standing by the side of the dance floor, Minnie Mouse spotted my younger son and grabbed him to go dance with her. It was pure Disney magic, and I’m so glad we were in the right place at the right time. Thanks for the memories Club Disney, even if we only got to enjoy the fun for a short time.
After leaving Club Disney, we walked around a bit, met up with some other Main Streeters, and got a spot for the Star Wars fireworks. I really love that show. Granted, I can hear it every night at 8:00 from my house, but we’ve only actually seen it twice. Seeing in with friends is even better.
We had work to do this past week too where the magazine is concerned. Crunch time. Plus the daily work for the main site. Sometimes I can’t sleep because I’m always spinning my wheels about work. Always trying to get my thoughts in order and come up with more content to keep our readers happy. I don’t know how to shut it off. I was told this weekend by a friend that that’s not healthy, but she said it with a laugh, so I hope she was at least partly kidding. Since my friend and admin Autumn was in town, I went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday to have lunch with her before she left for home. I have to take advantage of that when friends are in town, since we don’t get to mingle much here usually. It’s nice to have people to talk to, other than just us. We love our family time, but it’s nice to have company too!
So, that’s our week! We’re back on our own!. I’m not sure what’s next, but I’m sure you will hear about it next week, same time, same blog!
