Modern-Day Princess Dresses at the Golden Globes

Did you watch the Golden Globe’s last night? If so, you may have seen some dresses that were pretty as a princess! Here’s the scoop courtesy of the Disney Style Blog! Enjoy!

Jewel tones, capes, and sparkles everywhere dominated the Golden Globes red carpet this year. When it comes to award shows though, we have a laser-like fashion focus: Find any and all dresses that remind us of Disney characters. This Golden Globes didn’t have many direct doppelgängers (remember Jennifer Lawrence’s Ariel-inspired dress at the Golden Globes two years ago?), but we did spy many gowns that definitely fit into the “modern princess” category. Take a look at some of our favorites:

Lily James ~ Did you expect anything less than a princess-worthy gown from Cinderella, herself? We loved that her dress had multiple color fabrics under it, just like the signature gown she wore in the film.

Speaking of Cinderella, we couldn’t help but think of Ella’s blue dress when we saw Sarah Hay’s embellished gown.

When we saw this Giambattista Valli dress on the runway, we immediately thought of Belle. We guess Jennifer Lopez thought the same, too!

Take one part Jasmine’s red outfit and mix it with a dash of baroque fabric and you’d have Zendaya’s amazing Marchesa dress.

We couldn’t decide if Leslie Mann’s dress reminded us more of Rapunzel or Sleeping Beauty. Either way, this one is a winner in our style book.

There were so many princess-like gorgeous dresses at the Golden Globes last night, it’s hard to pick a favorite! I’d love to play dress up like that and attend such an amazing event! Which dresses did you love the best?
