TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ We’re Back!

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for our weekly Florida living check in, and for the first time in weeks, we’ve actually spent the last seven days IN Florida.  Vacation time up north is over, and we’re settling back into reality.  As I previously stated, we’ve been out of town for a bit, and I was in desperate need of a Disney fix. I knew we didn’t have much time to do so, being that we had to get ready to put together the August edition of our magazine, but a few hours wouldn’t hurt to break away!

Last Thursday we did get a couple of hours of Disney time in, and went to the Frozen Fireworks and such at Hollywood Studios. My gosh, I missed being at Disney! We ate at the Commissary, went on Tower of Terror, Rock N Roller Coaster, and saw the Frozen Sing A Long. Sidebar, even if you’re tired of Frozen, the Frozen Sing A Long is awesome. The Historians are hysterical and make it such a fun show, I highly recommend it! The night was closed out by the amazing fireworks, and my heart felt a bit more content. It’s funny how much we miss Disney when we don’t have it! That Disney obsession is real!

After that pinch of Disney, it was back to work for us. I knew that putting together a magazine was going to be work, but I didn’t realize exactly how much. Our staff is small, and a lot of the work is internal, so when it’s crunch time, we literally stay in the house and work for hours on end. Is it hard? Yep. Is it worth is? I would say so. TMSM and all it’s outlets are a labor of love, and I know that we have to put forth the effort to make it work and keep our readers happy. We’re tired this week, but the magazine is going to be great, I have no doubt of that.

We did get another break for a little bit on Sunday, and went to T-Rex at Downtown Disney with some Main Street friends. We hadn’t been to that restaurant to eat in years, so we were excited to go check it out and have lunch with friends. The food was good, we had a good time, and I was thankful that we had the opportunity to go. I’ll write more about that tomorrow for our Thursday blog!

It’s funny, because I feel like a kid waiting to go on vacation, because I’m dying to get to the Magic Kingdom. It’s almost August, and I haven’t been to the MK since June! That’s a record for me since moving down here. I’m itching to get back there, to ride some of my favorite rides and see the Castle. However…… work comes first, and the MK has to wait a bit longer. Summer is going by far too fast, and I’m hoping to get in some Disney time before the kids go back to school.

Well, that’s it for this week, I need to get back to work! I’m so excited for the magazine to come out this weekend, I hope you enjoy it too! Until next week, sending you all lots of warm hugs, blessings and pixie dust…. See ya real soon! ~M
