Orlando’s top sushi chefs are squaring off at Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs on September 21, 2026, for the first ever Sushi Showdown. It’s a one night competition where guests taste exclusive sushi creations made with premium rice and the freshest ingredients, then vote on which dish deserves the title of Orlando’s first sushi champion. Chefs are judged on taste, freshness and how well the dish comes together.
There are two tasting sessions to pick from; 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. or 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. and guests can add a beverage package with premium sake pairings from Dassai, Hakkaisan, Kubota, Nanbu Bijin and Soto.
General admission runs $125, with a limited number of $700 VIP tickets available. The night also includes live entertainment, gold coin voting for your favorite chef, and a live auction benefiting Give Kids The World. Every dollar raised goes toward the nonprofit’s work giving critically ill children and their families unforgettable vacations.
