Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! It’s time for our weekly Florida Living check in! School is out for the Summer, thank God! The boys are thrilled to be home, and truthfully, I’m glad to have them here. I know some may find that strange, but I truly enjoy having my kids home, not to mention, it’s nice to not have to run them back and forth to school. Break time, yay!
Truthfully, even though we’re on a school break, we haven’t been to Disney. Gasp, I know! We’ve been so busy doing work at home, that we haven’t had time to go. We were going to go to the Magic Kingdom for fireworks last night, but it was raining cats and dogs, so that was out. We did however have some TMSM Staff members in town last weekend, and took the opportunity to have them over for a BBQ. Corey was in from Alabama with his family, and Greg was here too with his. It’s not often that we have staff here at the same time, so it was nice. We talked work, but not a lot. We ended up eating a ton and playing a board game, which was a much needed break! It gets lonely here sometimes, so it was great to have a house full of people!
The most exciting thing that happened in the past week, would have to be our field trip for Off TMSM. I know some of you already know, some of you read the blog for Off TMSM (http://www.offtmsm.com/2015/06/08/a-magical-evening-with-nkotb-at-the-amway-center-nkotb/), but after a good 25 years of waiting, I finally got to meet New Kids on the Block! Yes, NKOTB. It’s a long story, hence the need for a full blog, but wow, it was hands down one of the best nights we’ve had since moving here. When you’re a fan girl of someone for most of your life, and you get to finally meet and thank the person, it’s the icing on the cake. Sure, I cried, no shame in that! They were in town at the Amway Center last Friday night, and we were invited to go from the venue. Best night ever. Yes, I messaged my fellow NKOTB fans back home, and called my Dad too! My inner teenager was thrilled… she finally got to meet her life long crush, Joe McIntyre! Score! Seriously though, what a blessing that was, to be treated so well by the nice people at the Amway Center, their kindness won’t soon be forgotten!
So, not sure what can top last weekend, but we shall see. Star Wars Weekends finishes up this weekend. I’m kind of glad though, I’m looking forward to the Frozen Summer weekends. Last years Frozen Summer Fun was really great, I truly enjoyed the fireworks, and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this year. I assume there will be themed cupcakes, so there’s that too! Well, that’s it for this weeks update. Next weeks article will mark our 1 Year Anniversary since moving to Florida! I can’t believe it’s been a year already, it sure doesn’t feel like it. I appreciate you following along with us for the past year, even before moving, so I’ll try to do a great recap for you!
