Disney Springs Is Going To Be Your New Favorite Place to Shop

From the Disney Style blog

One of the best parts about going to Walt Disney World (besides the attractions and all the amazing food) is the shopping. We always have to pre-plan and leave room in our suitcase just to get all our souvenirs home! Well, our suitcases are about to be even more packed during Walt Disney World’s Coolest Summer Ever, because the new stores at Downtown Disney’s Disney Springs have everything you need.

The new Village Causeway at Downtown Disney provides guests with another path of travel through the Marketplace, connecting the area near The LEGO Store across the water to Rainforest Café. With beautiful brickwork and handsome arches, the bridge houses four new freestanding retail locations: Flour & Sugar, Icon Jewellery by Bico, Kate & Leo and Florida Bath Co. Downtown Disney is currently undergoing the largest expansion in its history, to be renamed and re-imagined as Disney Springs, an exciting new waterfront district for exceptional dining, shopping and entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Disney Springs, one of the new neighborhoods that is apart of the renovations at Downtown Disney, now features super cool shops like shoe stores Sanuk, and Havaianas, and digital sound store Sound Lion. We got to check out all the new options on our recent trip to Walt Disney World, and here are our favorites:

Apex by Sunglass Hut

Designed with the athlete, sports and outdoor enthusiast in mind, Apex by Sunglass Hut provides Downtown Disney guests with a first-of-its-kind sunglass store. Showcasing a selection of sport performance and lifestyle eyewear, the new store uses innovative technology, such as the Apex Smart Mirror, to help guests find the best choice in sunglasses.  Downtown Disney is currently undergoing the largest expansion in its history, to be renamed and re-imagined as Disney Springs, an exciting new waterfront district for great dining, shopping and entertainment. Apex by Sunglass Hut is part of the first phase of store openings planned for what will be eventually known as The Landing within Disney Springs. The Landing is the first of four neighborhoods and is scheduled to officially open in spring 2015. Walt Disney World Resort is in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Matt Stroshane, photographer)

When you’re out in the Florida sunshine all day, a pair of sunglasses is an absolute necessity. If you forgot your pair, or just need some new sunnies, head to Apex by Sunglass Hut. This sports-focused version of Sunglass Hut has a pair of sunglasses for every kind of outdoor activity. You can even customize your own pair of sunglasses right in store using a cool, interactive design computer. The coolest feature of the store? There’s a machine where you can test out your glasses in various settings, including skiing and cycling to see how the sunglasses work in real life settings.

Chapel Hats

Chapel Hats at Downtown Disney

A store devoted entirely to hats? Yes, please. We could spend way too much time at Chapel Hats trying on all the various styles they had. Trust us when we say there’s a hat for everyone here, including safari hats, steampunk-inspired styles, and our personal favorite, fascinators.

Erin Mckenna’s Bakery NYC

Erin-Mckennas-Bakery

We’ve been big fans of BabyCakes ever since Erin McKenna opened a store in Los Angeles, and now we can get our vegan, gluten-free treats anytime we want in Downtown Disney! Whether you want donuts, cupcakes, cookies, or bagels, Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC has your sweet tooth covered (we highly recommend the brownies!)

Which store are you excited to visit at Disney Springs? Tell us in the comments below!
