Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! Last week we didn’t have much to report as we were just getting back into the swing of things after my Mom’s surgery. The good news is that she’s doing REALLY well and is almost as good as new, so thank you for the prayers, they sure did help. Now that we’re back on track, and it’s Spring Break for the locals here in Florida this week, we’ve been on the go quite a bit, so lets catch up!

We’re used to having Spring Break the week after Easter, so this is really new for us having it so early. I wasn’t sure how the boys would feel, but so far so good. We’ll see what their opinion is after Easter and they have to go to school! Being that the locals are on Spring Break, the crowds at the parks has gone up. We’ve been busy too since they got out of school, we’re making up for lost time for sure. On Saturday, we had the pleasure of meeting up with our friend Lenise from Kingdom Camera Rentals for a photography lesson at the Flower and Garden Festival. Lenise is a seasoned photography vet, and I was a little nervous about trying to learn something new. I love photography, and really enjoy taking pictures (mostly from my phone) so this was a great opportunity for me. Lenise was an amazing teacher, and I learned so much that day, including learning to use one of their cameras. As scary as it is to try something new, you really HAVE to push yourself sometimes. You never know if you can do something unless you try. Truthfully, I had the best day. After being stressed and busy for so long, spending the day looking at the little things at Epcot was just what I needed. You really DO look at and appreciate more at the parks if you are keeping the idea for great photos in mind. I did pretty good, and am really thankful for the opportunity. More details on that later!

We took the new camera over to Universal Studios the following day to get some additional photos for Off TMSM. We hadn’t been to the “dark side” in over a month so the boys really wanted to go. Once again, you really do appreciate the details when you’re at a park looking for good photos. The Harry Potter areas at both parks are amazing. The buildings are so elaborate, especially Hogwarts and Diagon Alley. I’m not even a Potter fan, but those areas make me WANT to be. Universal did a great job there. We rode some rides, did a lot of walking, saw the B52’s at the Mardi Gras concert, and had a great day. It felt good to be out and about, we really needed it.

Yesterday we went to the Magic Kingdom to get more photos, and it was crazy busy there! I haven’t seen the park that busy in quite awhile. I think I got some decent photos, but I have to still edit them all, so stay tuned. Well, that’s it for this week’s Florida Living update! I thank you all so much for reading, it means a lot! Until next week, sending you lots of love, pixie dust and blessings! See ya real soon! ~M
